Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

The thermostat is built in a cover of the thermostat and can be replaced only complete with it.

At the hot engine before opening of a broad tank cover it with a thick rag to exclude a burn owing to influence of hot cooling liquid and steam. It is necessary to uncover only at a temperature of cooling liquid below + 90 °C.

1. Merge cooling liquid in capacity as it is described in the Section Replacement of Cooling Liquid - general comments.

2. Uncover the engine in front (2) and at the left (1).

3. Remove hoses of cooling liquid from a radiator and a broad tank on a thermostat cover. Previously release collars and displace them completely back.
4. Turn off a cover of the thermostat and remove it together with the thermostat.

The thermostat and cover of the thermostat form uniform knot. At removal the thermostat can be damaged and is not subject to the subsequent installation.

5. Remove laying of the case of the thermostat and clear sealing surfaces.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Establish a new sealing ring, a thermostat cover with the thermostat and fix by the moment 10 Nanometers.
2. Put on hoses of cooling liquid connecting unions and fix by collars.

At the same time check a condition of hoses and collars, if necessary replace.

3. Establish forward and left covers of the engine.

Diesel engine

Only differences from the petrol engine are described.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disunite the socket of a sensitive element of the sensor of temperature (14).
2. Disconnect the holder of a fuel-supply line from the thermostat case.
3. Disconnect hoses of cooling liquid and a hose of ventilation (1) at the case of the thermostat (1).
4. Unscrew the case of the thermostat (12). Moment of an inhaling of 9 Nanometers.
