The automobile jack is in an additional compartment under a trunk floor, near a spare wheel.

Preparation of an automobile jack for application

Put the car, whenever possible, on the flat platform.

Strongly press a pedal of the parking brake. It is impossible to release the parking brake until the car is lifted.

Transfer the lever of the AT selector to situation "P".

Uncover an opening for installation of an automobile jack.

Openings for installation of an automobile jack are behind wheel niches of forward wheels and before wheel niches of back wheels.

Completely move a basic finger of a jack into an opening for installation of a jack.

The automobile jack has to stand always vertically — as well on slopes.

Lift the car to a wheel separation from soil.

Towage

General comments

Requirements of "Traffic regulations" for towage have to be observed.

The towing cable has to be elastic not to damage both cars. It is necessary to use only a cable from synthetic fibers or similar elastic materials. However it is safer to use a towing bar!

It is necessary to watch constantly that there was no unacceptably big tension, and at the same time there was no considerable resistance to swing of the car. At towage of the car on the region of the dirt road there is always a danger of demolition on a roadside.

Before trying to start the engine towage, it is necessary to use whenever possible the rechargeable battery of other car for start of the engine – address the previous section.

Both drivers have to know the features of driving at towage stated below and to have sufficient experience. Inexperienced drivers should not be driving any, other car.

When using a towing cable the driver of the towing car has to at start-off from the place and gear shifting especially smoothly to release a coupling pedal.

The driver of the towed car has to watch that the towing cable was constantly tense.

On both cars external light devices according to "Traffic regulations" have to be switched on.

Ignition has to be included the wheel was not blocked, and it was possible to include if necessary the index of turn, a sound signal, screen wipers and windscreen washers.

The amplifier of the drive of the working brake system executes the function only at the working engine therefore at the switched-off engine it is necessary to press much stronger when braking a brake pedal.

As at the idle engine the power steering does not function, at turns it is necessary to make bigger effort for a steering wheel.

In the absence of oil in AT it is necessary to tow the car only with the hung-out driving wheels.

There is a danger to remain outside during the pushing or towage of the car:

The car is locked if the key is in the ignition lock in situation 2 and the car moves.
The "Automatic Locking of Doors during the Movement" function can be switched off (see "AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCK" (AUTOMATIC LOCKING of DOORS) in the Individual Installation menu.

If the rechargeable battery is disconnected or discharged, then turning of the ignition key and switching automated by the Sequentronic check point are impossible, and the coulisse of the check point remains blocked in situation "P".

(The unblocking of position "Parking" of the transmission is considered below in this section).

Important!

Towage of the car and towage for start of the engine is allowed only by means of towing eyes. Do not attach a towing cable or a towing bar to elements of a running gear.

Reception nests for a vvorachivaniye of a towing eye are behind caps on bumpers.

The towing eye is in a set of the onboard tool.

Installation of a towing eye

In the place of marking press in the direction of an arrow, raise a cap, do not pull together it. Screw a towing eye against the stop and tighten it by means of the key lever for wheels (from a set of the onboard tool).

Removal of a towing eye

Turn off a towing eye and lay it in office for a set of the onboard tool.

Spread a cap and record it.

Instead of towage it is necessary to give preference to transportation of the car on the special vehicle or the trailer.
When towage is inevitable, we recommend to use a towing bar.

Remarks: Follow the rules of towage corresponding to the country of residence.

Models with the automated transmission (Sequentronic)

It is necessary for the possibility of switching automated by the check point that the rechargeable battery was charged sufficiently, otherwise, give a power supply from the rechargeable battery of other car.

Towage you produce no more than 50 km on distance.

· Switch the transmission to situation "N" (consider indication on the display of the control panel automated by the Sequentronic check point).
· Do not exceed the speed of towage of 50 km/h.
· If the transmission does not give in to switching in situation "N", then it is necessary to dismantle the driveshaft to the leading bridge.

At towage on distance over 50 km:

· Make removal of the driveshaft.
· The distance of towage of the car is not limited.
· At malfunction of the transmission.
· Make removal of the driveshaft.
· At damage of the forward bridge.
· Lift the forward bridge.
· Turn a key in the switch of ignition in situation 0 or 1.

Follow rules of towage as at damage of the engine.

The distance of towage of the car is not limited.

At damages of the back bridge:

Lift the back bridge.

Models with automatic transmission

Turn a key in the switch of ignition in situation 2.

Transfer the AT selector lever to situation "N".

Maximum speed of towage: 50 km/h.

Maximum range of towage: 50 km.

Non-compliance maximum speeds or ranges of towage can lead to damage of the transmission.

On long distances or in case of damage of the transmission towage is allowed only with the lifted back bridge or disconnected (from the back bridge) the driveshaft.

Models with electronic antistrange system (ESP)

At towage with the lifted forward bridge or control of the parking brake at the stand for test of brakes the engine has to be switched off. Otherwise owing to the active braking action through electronic antistrange system (ESP) there will be a damage of the brake system of the back bridge.

Emergency start of the car towage

On models with AT - it is impossible.

For an exception of damages of the catalytic converter it is not allowed to start the car at the warm engine by towage or pushing.

Turn on the alarm system.

Include ignition, having turned a key in situation "2".

RKPP: Include the 3rd transfer, press a pedal of coupling and hold it.

Begin towage of the car.

RKPP: Slowly include coupling when both cars move.

As soon as the engine is started, press a pedal of coupling and switch off transfer not to run into the towing car.

Transportation of the car

For loading of the car on the special car or the trailer towing eyes can be used.

Models with automatic transmission:

When pushing the car transfer the lever of the AT selector to situation "N".

Fastening of the car is made only on wheels / ободьям.

Important!

In order to avoid damages it is impossible to fix the car for elements of a running gear as, for example, cross or longitudinal levers of a suspension bracket.

Unblocking of position "Parking" of the transmission at malfunction

At electric malfunction blocking of the lever of the AT selector in situation "P" can be removed manually, for example, for towage of the car.

For this purpose open a ware compartment on the average console.
By means of a coin release office for coins (1) and take it aside.

Enter a suitable subject (2) (for example, a pin) into an opening under office for coins and press down.

During squeezing of a pin the lever of the AT selector can be brought out of situation "P".

After that the pin can be taken out. The lever of the AT selector can freely switch again until it is not again transferred to situation "P".
